Terms of Use
Last updated: September 2026
These terms explain what you can expect from Trooday and what we expect from people using it.
Acceptance
By using Trooday or creating an account, you accept these Terms of Use and acknowledge our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree with them, please do not use the service.
What Trooday is
Trooday publishes fact-checks of specific public claims and explanatory editorial content. Everything we publish is informational.
Trooday content is not:
- legal advice;
- medical advice;
- financial or investment advice;
- a substitute for guidance from a qualified professional.
Editorial limitations
Trooday aims for accuracy and transparency, and each check is reviewed by a human editor before publication. Even so, information and the available evidence can change over time. Publishing a check does not guarantee that every detail will remain current indefinitely, and checks may be corrected or updated.
How we research claims, choose sources and assign verdicts and confidence levels is described on our methodology page. If you believe a check contains an error, missing context or a broken source, email jointrooday@gmail.com with the check URL and, where possible, a publicly accessible source.
Accounts
You are responsible for:
- providing accurate account information;
- keeping your password confidential;
- activity that happens under your account;
- telling us at jointrooday@gmail.com if you suspect unauthorized access.
If you sign in with Google, your Google account remains subject to Google’s own applicable terms.
Acceptable use
Do not:
- use Trooday for any unlawful purpose;
- attempt to access another user’s account or data;
- scrape the service in a way that disrupts or degrades it;
- circumvent security or database access controls;
- use automated tools to abuse the service;
- upload or distribute malware;
- manipulate the Save or helpfulness feedback systems;
- impersonate another person or organization.
Ordinary linking to Trooday pages, sharing checks and legitimate search-engine crawling are welcome.
Saved checks and helpfulness feedback
Your saved checks are private to your account. Helpfulness feedback tells us whether an explanation was useful to you; it is not a vote and never determines the factual verdict of a check.
Trooday may use aggregated or de-identified feedback to improve editorial clarity.
Intellectual property
Trooday’s branding, page layout and original editorial text may be protected by intellectual property rights. Trooday does not claim ownership of third-party source material, linked documents, quoted statements or images owned by others, which remain the property of their respective owners.
Third-party sources and links
Checks link to external sources so you can examine the evidence yourself. Those websites are not controlled by Trooday. Their availability, accuracy and content are outside our control, and linking to a source is not an endorsement of everything it publishes.
Availability and account restrictions
Trooday may change, suspend or discontinue features, and the service can experience interruptions. We do not promise continuous availability or a specific level of uptime. We may restrict or close an account used abusively or in breach of these terms.
Disclaimers and limitation
Trooday is provided on an “as is” basis, without warranties of any kind that the service will be uninterrupted, error-free or suited to a particular purpose. To the extent permitted by applicable law, Trooday is not liable for decisions taken solely on the basis of published content or for losses resulting from service interruptions.
Nothing in these terms limits rights you have that cannot be limited under applicable law.
Changes and contact
If these terms change materially, we will update this page and revise the last-updated date above. Questions can be sent to jointrooday@gmail.com.
